Ask a spectator to go on an imaginary shopping trip to his local supermarket, walk down an aisle, choose any item off the shelf and note the price.
Show that you’ve predicted his very thoughts by revealing…A CARD WITH A BAR CODE. (chuckle, snort, guffaw)
To prove the accuracy of your prediction, tilt the card and expose that the Bar Code is actually made up of the words YOUR ITEM AND PRICE.
BUT…the Bar Code is much more than a grocery gotcha.
You’ll be a supermarket sensation when you turn the card around to reveal
THE NAME OF THE SPECTATOR’S STORE WRITTEN ON THE BACK.
You’ve passed the bar with flying colors.
There’s only one card, no secret writing.
